We are so sad that Camp has been canceled this year.  We miss you and can’t wait to be back together when we can!!

Dear Young Women, Parents and Leaders,

We hope this email finds you well and that you are continuing to learn new things and strengthen your testimonies during this time of staying at home.

As you may know, under the direction of the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, Young Women Camp for 2020 has been canceled.  We know how heart-breaking this is because we feel it, too.  We love you and miss interacting with you in person.

After much fasting, prayer, and counseling together we have decided to do a Camp Care Package.  The Camp Captains and Youth Camp Leaders will share some of what they had prepared for camp with you in mind.  We know nothing can replace camp but wanted you to know we are thinking about and praying for you.  We hope these camp care packages will lift your spirits even just a little bit.  Our goal is to have these packages to your leaders for them to distribute by mid June.

One of the scriptures found in the Young Women Camp Manual reads “Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him” (Moroni 10:32).  How fitting it is to share this scripture now due to our recent Come Follow Me studies of Alma who fled from King Noah.  His situation, like ours, was not ideal.  He had to hide to save his life.  But, he was able to find “a fountain of pure water” and “a thicket of small trees” (Mosiah 18:5) in which to share and strengthen his testimony.  We encourage each of you to take the opportunity to complete the activities in the care package and share with us what you complete and how it impacts you.  More instructions will be found in the care packages.

While we are not able to gather at this time for a Stake Young Women Camp, we look forward to hopefully gathering as young women later this year in a Stake Young Women Conference and other stake level activities.

We love you and think of you often.  Until we meet again!
